Best Friend's Proposal & More Chicago Outfits!
Your 20s are special and the people you spend them with are even more special. Crazy to think how many people important to me are on their way to engagements, big gigs and babies! The reason I was in Chicago this past weekend was for my best friend’s proposal – celebrating her engagement with her, her fiancé and my husband was such a great time. I was nostalgic throughout the weekend thinking about the two years we spent together in Chicago when neither of us were engaged/married/pregnant.
Gauri and Mitch, you two are perfect together, and I am truly happy to see two people meant for each other come together. I hope your wedding and your marriage is everything you’ve dreamed of and more!
I didn’t take any proper outfit pictures with the blog in mind, so I apologize for the quality of the pics below.
On my first night, I decided to dress somewhat casual for a night out. Midis are my go-to while pregnant as nothing shoes off my bump better! (And of course, the olive color is perfect for Fall!)
Scarf: Burberry
Dress: Naked Wardrobe (Similar can be found here.)
On our second night, we went out to dinner with the families and I chose to wear a maxi. Not only was it super comfortable and hugged me in all the right places, the soft blush/nude color was perfect for a sophisticated dinner out. Not pictured above, but to stay warm I put over a black fur vest to add to the glam factor.
Dress: Missguided
For my last day outfit in Chicago, I chose to wear this beautiful button up thick tunic from Chicwish. It’s a soft lavender color and although not a maternity item, the tie above the waist worked beautifully with my belly. It kept me warm during the cool afternoon and was long enough to be worn with leggings.
