Hola! This is probably what I get asked the most by new moms - How do you exclusively pump? Why do you do it? How does it work? How often do you have to pump? How much do you pump? When I started out, I had no idea what I was doing and pieced together information from internet searches. Here is all of the information you need in one place – what exclusive pumping is, the pros and cons of exclusive pumping vs nursing, and how to exclusively pump breast milk.

The first week hit me hard due to challenges with breastfeeding, lack of sleep and fluctuating hormones. When I found out I was pregnant with Aiyla, I knew I wanted postpartum life to be something I looked forward to.
Read MoreMy little girl is here! Little Aiyla made her appearance this Monday at 11:38 am. My story this time around was a little unexpected and the complete opposite of my labor with my firstborn, Zidaan.
The story starts off on my 37th week appointment last Thursday.
Read MoreWhen I was pregnant with Z, I was still a noob when it came to pregnancy. I was still figuring out what I needed vs. what I wanted. This pregnancy, I’ve been pretty frugal with how much I spend on maternity items.
Read MoreI didn’t think I would be writing about my second pregnancy this soon, but here we are. I’ve been wanting to do updates like I did with Zidaan, but have been extremely lazy about it. Better to start now than never!
Read MoreWhen I was pregnant, I had full intention of breastfeeding exclusively and assumed I would get a perfect latch for the first year. Why would it be tough? Women have been doing it since the beginning of time.
Read MoreRecently, I had a new mom-to-be reach out to me telling me she's positive she has gotten everything she and her child will need for the next year. She's done her diligent research and she's confident she won't be spending another dollar on baby related items. Bless her heart.
Read MoreI really didn't want to write about this cause the wound's still pretty fresh. Maybe a few weeks from now, leaving my child at home while I go to work will be smooth sailing? Anyhoo, I had several new moms reach out to me asking how it is working with a child at home so now I feel compelled to talk about my experience.

Read MoreWelcome to my 3 hour pregnancy glucose test! I can’t tell you enough how horrified I am this morning of getting poked 4 times, that nasty sugar drink and no food. Definitely much different and more intense than my one hour glucose test last week.

Read MoreI can't believe I'm halfway through my 6th month of pregnancy. It's flying by so quickly! This baby bump has definitely popped again and the stretching of all my mid-muscles is getting quite painful. I still can't complain though, cause I've really enjoyed my pregnancy so far and it's been quite a breeze. I finally feel like I’m really pregnant. Like, there's no mistaking it as a sinfully large meal or me being weirdly disproportionate anymore. Thank the Lord. People don't ask me if I'm expecting anymore, they safely assume. Win for this prego!
